ATC Presents $2K

June 2, 2008

Through its Earning4Learning program, the Alameda Towne Centre donated $2000.00 to Alameda Education Foundation on June 5, 2008.

The three schools that collected the most receipts were Lum, Otis, and Paden Elementary Schools. Ten schools received monetary awards in all.

“We donate to AEF because we think it is the right thing to do,” says Michael Corbett, retail portfolio manager with Harsch Investment Properties. “With school budgets being cut dramatically we feel that our annual financial assistance of $2000 to AEF — plus $10,000 to the balance of the elementary schools on the island — is greatly needed right now. It is incumbent to all of us in the community to do whatever we can to support our children and their families.”

The Earning4Learning celebration also kicked off the Summer Serenade concert series at the shopping center.
