Bill’s Word: Supporting and Celebrating our Schools!

Dear Friend,

It is always surprising how quickly a school year goes as we are in mid-February and the end of the school year is in sight. At the Alameda Education Foundation (AEF) we are concluding some of our programs for the 2012-13 school year. Today Kathie Woulfe and I delivered five more Adopt A Classroom(AAC) donations to Paden, EHS, Lincoln, Wood and Haight. That brings our total AAC’s to 126.

AEF Welcomes New Board Members

The Alameda Education Foundation (AEF) is pleased to announce the recent election of three new members to its Board of Directors:  Timothy N. Coffey, Nancy O’Malley and George Phillips. “AEF is honored to welcome these new members,” said Bill Sonneman, AEF Board President.  “Each brings unique expertise and experience that will help our foundation continue to increase its impact on educational opportunities for Alameda public school students. We are so pleased that these exceptional leaders will offer their guidance,

Come and fly with the Alameda Junior Aviators and experience the excitement of Aviation and Space! Your morning briefing will start with an exciting IMAX movie. Your daily mission will be to build different types of aircraft including paper airplanes, gliders, helicopters and rockets and then compete with your fellow junior aviators in various aviation skill contests to determine who is Top Gun.
