As we head into Spring, though we could still use rain, I am proud of our many AEF accomplishments so far this school year and of the many upcoming programs ready to bloom.
Just to mention a few:
Our Adopt A Classroom goal of 150 teachers receiving a $500 was passed last month with adoptions now totaling 168. That translates into $84,000 into teachers’
Free for Alameda Public High School Students and their Parents or Guardians!
Student loan debt now tops $1.2 trillion dollars with 71% of students graduating from college in debt. The average student loan debt is $35,200 per student. What’s worse is that studies show about half of those graduates are shocked at the amount of debt they racked up while in school.
The Alameda Education Foundation is made up of people like you who support educational opportunities, innovation and equity for Alameda public school K-12 students.
