Bill’s Word: 2013-2014 Accomplishments

Dear Friend,

Thank you for making impact on thousands of student lives during the last school year through your support of the Alameda Education Foundation (AEF).

You certainly helped Ron.* Ron is an English Language Learner at one of our Alameda high schools. Ron would be the first in his family to attend college. Although he is very bright and capable, he and his mother (who does not speak English) were unaware of the value of a college degree.

Thank you Alameda Municipal Power customers!

At its regular meeting on July 21, the City of Alameda’s Public Utilities Board presented a check for $13,239.29 to the Alameda Education Foundation (AEF). The check represents funds collected by Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) Power Up 4 Learning, a joint program of AMP and AEF.  These funds support technology education in Alameda public schools.

Bill’s Word: Rock and Roll for Education

Dear Friend,

This Saturday, please join AEF, The California Beach Boys and Alameda South Shore Center for an evening summertime concert in the South Shore Center Court from 5 to 7 PM and help support Alameda students!

School supplies for Alameda’s community wide school supply drive, Equipped 4 Success, will be collected. In addition, 100% of wine sales from the concert will benefit the drive.
