Tommie & Emil Q. Miland Music Fund

In 2003 Emil Miland, a former student of the Alameda Unified School District and accomplished cellist, set up a scholarship fund with the Alameda Education Foundation in memory of his parents. His father, Emil Q. Miland, was a former AUSD music teacher and superintendent of music for the district. Music has been, and continues to be a major influence in the Miland Family and through this scholarship fund, Emil Miland hopes to encourage the same passion in music for graduating seniors by providing a $1,000 scholarships. To donate towards this scholarship fund, please indicate “AEF-The Miland Fund”.
