Supporting Student Success – April 2016

bill-yosemiteDear Friend,

Welcome back from Spring Break students and teachers! I hope you are rested and ready for the last part of the school year. Prior to Spring Break the AEF Middle School Basketball concluded and now Track begins. We have completed our Adopt A Classroom Program for 2015-16 with 160 deserving teachers receiving $500 checks.

I have the honor and pleasure of presenting the work of AEF to a variety of Alameda businesses and organizations. Recently, with our Executive Director Vicki Sedlack, we presented to Harbor Bay Realty, Rotary, and the Alameda Welfare Council. We are so fortunate to have the backing of the Alameda community in our efforts in supporting Alameda public school students and teachers. We thank GABA (Greater Alameda Business Association) for their generous donation that we received last Thursday night.

Finally, I hope all our Seniors at our high schools were accepted to college if that was their desire. I know from experience this can be a very stressful time for parents and students alike.

Remember Salute To Education is April 15, 2016 at Rhythmic Cultural Works

Sincerely,
Bill Sonneman
