Overview

The Historic Alameda Theatre
Thursday, November 10, 2011

Our second annual fundraiser for music, art and drama on November 10th – All Together Now – really WAS the best party in town! A packed audience danced the night away to awesome music, enjoyed fabulous hors d’oeuvres and wine, and bid on some amazing auction items.

This year was the debut of including student musicians in the event and it was amazing. Hearing those student perform up there on stage gives one chills – it’s what it is all about.

Take a look at this slide show with highlights from ATN 2011.

The evening featured The Sun Kings, joined by Alameda student musicians who performed The Beatles’ album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”. Pete Fletcher’s Hand-Picked Oldies Dance Party was a hit, with special guest appearances by the nationally acclaimed a cappella group Talk of the Town and Alameda’s own Dance 10 dancers.

Thank you to our ALL TOGETHER NOW 2011 Sponsors!

The Importance of Arts Education
Visual and performing arts are a core component of a well-rounded education. The arts are the languages we all speak, no matter our individual differences. Experiencing and creating works of art benefits students in their intellectual, personal, and social development and there is a strong relationship between learning in the arts and academic achievement.

All Together Now – an annual benefit supporting music, art and drama in Alameda Public Schools – is the result of a community coming together to support student success.

It began as an idea dreamed up between friends Drew Harrison and Pete Fletcher over a cup of coffee. All Together Now came to life in 2010 when local artists, businesses, and residents celebrated visual and performing arts in Alameda schools. With your support, music, art, and drama will continue to inspire and spark the imaginations of our students.

All Together Now 2011 is brought to you by Drew Harrison of The Sun Kings, Pete Fletcher, the Alameda Association of REALTORS, and the Alameda Education Foundation.
