Volunteers from Alameda Point Collaborative show off some of the stuffed backpacks
Equipped 4 Success is a community wide drive to collect school supplies for low-income Alameda public school students. Supplies will be distributed to low-income students served by the Alameda Unified School District’s McKinney-Vento Program (for homeless families), the Alameda Point Collaborative (serving formerly homeless families), the Alameda Boys & Girls Club, Girls Inc. of the Island City, and Alameda Head Start. The goal is to distribute 1,000 filled backpacks.
Equipped 4 Success is a collaboration of the above organizations and the Alameda Education Foundation.
“Equipped for Success” is accepting both cash donations and supplies. Monetary donations may be mailed to Alameda Education Foundation, P.O. Box 1363, Alameda, CA 94502. Please indicate “school supply drive.” You may also donate online here:
