Astra Supports AEF STEAM Programs

AEF is sending a big thank you to local commercial space company, Astra, for chosing AEF as it’s first featured nonprofit to donate 10% of its retail store profits to. Over $500 was raised for AEF’s After School STEAM Classes across Alameda’s Title I schools through Astra shop purchases made in May 2022.

Astra believes that ubiquitous access to space starts right here in Alameda, California where their headquarters and factory are based. Astra is committed to donating 10 percent of its retail store profits to a rotating selection of nonprofits, including Alameda-based organizations focused on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) education. AEF serves as a critical bridge for student engagement by providing equitable access for all Alameda public school students to quality enrichment.
