When Celeste Flores was studying art in college, she discovered blacksmithing. A blacksmith bends and molds metal into strong and beautiful sculptures. Celeste brings her years of teaching at the Crucible in Oakland, and at her blacksmith shop in Richmond, to her artistry. In this video, you’ll catch a glimpse of Celeste at work and see many of the pieces that she has designed and built.
