AUSD art teacher, Constance Moore, is also a children’s book illustrator. Her drawings make the written word come alive. In her first book, Brown: The Many Shades of Love, watercolor adds warmth to every face. In Black: The Many Wonders of My World, a young girl’s surroundings are filled with curving lines and geometric shapes. The art project video lets students create their own book cover using markers to imitate watercolor brush strokes. With a simple title and abstract designs, it's easy to make a colorful book cover that really is a work of art.
