AEF provided a Mini Grant to fund supplies for our 'IHS Community Building' field trip on September 6th. The field trip was an opportunity for students to contract to recover academic credits through collaboration with their teachers, Ms. Amy Haines and Ms. Delinda. The event help students and teachers build connections and community at the beginning of the new school year, and offered hands-on learning experiences outside of the classroom.
Island High School English teacher, Amy Haines, wrote "Thank you for approving the generous grant to Island High! We really appreciate all of the support you continue to give us; so happy to be sharing a campus with you! The day was a success and set a positive tone for the school year ahead.
