STEAM Stations at Ruby Bridges

Jana Harvey, 3rd Grade teacher at Ruby Bridges received a Mini Grant to purchase STEAM-related games and materials for students to use creative "problem solving skills, interpersonal skills, and be fearless as they solve problems together".

Ms. Harvey wrote back in appreciation:

"Thank you so much for the generous grant to fund our classroom STEAM stations. The students can explore and create their art with inspiration from MoMA (Musuem of Modern Art), build a marble run as a team, fold paper into origami designs with a buddy, and solve a world map puzzle in a group. This month a new STEAM station is being added; we will be creating Brush Bots to teach engineering skills and understand how an electrical circuit works. Each week the students rotate into these different groups and work together to solve, create, and imagine."
