Salute to Education 2012 and Happy Birthday to Us!

Thank you everyone for a success and fun Salute to Education event!  We celebrated impressive innovative programs, honored volunteers, and listened to amazing jazz music from the Alameda and Encinal High School bands.  This year was extra special as we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Alameda Education Foundation!

Each spring the Alameda Education Foundation celebrates and honors the vital work that is done in our schools through our Salute to Education event.

Salute to Education recognizes the teachers, staff and volunteers who make Alameda schools so special, as well as community volunteers and local businesses who support our schools. In addition, Salute to Education showcases innovative school programs that serve Alameda students.

Salute to Education provides an opportunity for the schools and the greater community to come together in a festive, relaxed setting to share best practices, network and socialize. Enjoy wonderful  local wine, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, and fabulous music by the Alameda High  School jazz band.  All with the beautiful backdrop of the San Francisco  skyline.
