- Grade level indicated refers to the current grade level completed this year (2025-2026).
- We offer Early Bird Pricing until midnight on April 10, 2026. Listed camp prices will increase by $20 on April 11.
- Scholarships are available to qualified AUSD or Alameda public charter school students. To request a scholarship for your student, please click here and fill out the online form. If your student is taking Morning and Afternoon camps they MUST sign up for Lunchtime Supervision.
Breakfast Club
Hours: 7:30 - 8:30 AM

Camp Fee: $65
The Breakfast Club is for students participating in AEF morning camps who require supervision before 8:30 AM. Students are not permitted to remain unattended on campus. They must be enrolled in this program to be dropped off at 7:30 AM.
STUDENTS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN BREAKFAST & DRINK (fruits and snacks will be available).
Lunch Bunch
Hours: 12:30 - 1:30 PM

The Lunch Bunch is for:

Afternoon Adventure Club
Hours: 12:30 - 5:30 PM

Students will enjoy traditional board games, card games, arts and crafts, sports, and explorations around the campus with AEF Campus Supervisors Miss Frances and Miss Liz. Electronic devices will not be permitted.

All Day Club
For students attending both morning and afternoon camps, you can sign up for all 3 of these programs (Breakfast Club, Lunch Bunch, and The Flip Side) and receive a 20% discount! Students will enjoy summer activities and entertainment with Miss Frances and Miss Liz. Students must bring their own lunch and drink, (snacks will be provided). Note that parents are expected to arrive promptly for pick-up; additional charges of $1 per minute will be incurred for late pickups. Cost for Week 1 (June 15 - 19, 2026): $150
Morning Camps - 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM (unless otherwise noted)
Chess: Beginner and Intermediate
Grades: 1 - 8

This combination beginner and intermediate level camp will review chess basics (chessboard terminology and square identification; how the various pieces move and capture, plus their relative values; pawn promotion; the crucial concepts of check, checkmate, and stalemate; the special move of castling; opening goals and principles; basic endgame checkmates using major pieces; and last, but not least, good chess etiquette) on a class-wide basis or individually during supervised play as needed. Instruction will otherwise focus on learning tactics and strategy through the explanation of games and positions from historical players and events, and/or current top-level competitions.
These chess camps are a mix of instruction and supervised play. The instructor will organize and run an unofficial tournament during the week at their discretion (if/when enough campers are able to play a full game), with labeled medals as awards for all participants upon completion.
With its nearly 1,500 years of history, chess is arguably the greatest and most popular board game of all time. Numerous studies have suggested that learning and playing chess at an early age can yield various benefits regarding cognitive skills. Confidence, decision-making, and sportsmanship are other areas of potential improvement. The benefits and enjoyment of chess can last a lifetime!
LEGO® and Minecraft

Each day, campers will dive into the blocky worlds they love through all hands-on, screen-free fun! Campers will build an exciting new robotic LEGO® creations, engage in fun Minecraft-themed crafts and games, and make lasting memories and new friendships! It's the ultimate camp for building, designing, and adventuring, all with real-life bricks and activities!
Summer Math Fun

The Firecracker Math program offers students a broad variety of age-appropriate yet challenging math topics from number theory, geometry, combinatorics, probability, and more to enhance their natural curiosity and aptitude for math. We use games, hands-on activities, and magic tricks to demonstrate and explore math concepts. Students are encouraged to ask questions, present arguments, and reason. Students acquire problem-solving and logical thinking skills while building a solid foundation and understanding of mathematics. We show your student that math can be incredibly creative, exciting, and fun!
Drawing Workshop
Grades: 3 - 8

Drawing isn't just a natural talent, it's a skill that people can practice, and improve, by observing and copying shapes. Using markers, oil pastels, watercolors, and colored pencils, students will drawing the shapes they see in common objects, such as leaves and flowers, fruits and vegetables, as well as copying from photographs. There will be some time for free-choice drawing as well as whole class projects.
Premier Summer Hoops Camp

In this camp your student will learn the basic skills of coordination and motor skills through dribbling, pivoting, catching and shooting - all skills that overlap into other sports. Depending on the group, there will be opportunities for scrimmage play as well to work on the big picture of basketball.
Golf with Seth

This is a wonderful opportunity for campers to develop a love for the game of golf. In this class, campers learn basic techniques of alignment, swing mechanics, golf history, forces of flight as they relate to a golf ball, stretching techniques, and more in a fun, entertaining environment. We will watch demonstrations from top teaching professionals around the world where campers will learn various practice drills. Golf etiquette and the life lessons that golf can teach are paramount in the All Square Golf Academy curriculum. Campers will be outside most of the class, and golf clubs will be provided but students can bring their own if they so choose.

Hip Hop Dance

Learn hip hop dance from local performing artists. This camp helps with physical and social-emotional health and inspires participants to express their identity, challenges, triumphs, and culture through dance. We will have dance games, and learn specific techniques and choreography. We will also have dance battles, watch dance performances, and learn the history of hip hop dance from breakdancing in the Bronx to Turf Dancing in the Bay Area (a recent form of hip hop dance originating in the Bay Area). Each student will prepare one solo or group dance performance by the end of camp.
Movie Making with Storytelling and Special Effects

In this class you'll come up with a topics for short videos, storyboard them to determine what you'll need, and then get creating. Learn how to shoot great video footage to best tell your stories (use our shared class video cameras, or bring in your own). Kids will also learn the basics of video editing, with fun projects such as claymation and stopmotion animation.

LEGO® Design and Drive Camp

Race into summer with a week-long LEGO® Design & Drive camp! Campers will build custom cars, speed through ramps and loops, and tackle creative design challenges. Through hands-on fun and friendly competition, kids explore engineering, problem-solving, and storytelling—no experience necessary, just imagination and a need for speed!
Spoken Word Poetry
Grades: 3 - 8

Spoken Word Poetry is freedom, it uses all types of expression, any and all ways to play with words. The poems we will write are funny, meaningful and heartfelt. Workshops are taught by professional spoken word poets who make a living with this art form. In workshops we play spontaneous poetry games, learn poetic techniques, write and perform our creations.

Have fun while making beautiful bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and more! We will use an assortment of beads and charms, including faceted glass beads and gems. Students will learn how to fashion beaded jewelry with beading wire, eye pins, crimp beads, and more! Your child will learn how to coordinate their jewelry by experimenting with color and patterns. Each child will have their own personal box of beads to work from as they create their unique pieces.

This Young Rembrandts workshop is full of possibilities! Join us for five days of pastel fun as we learn about a new medium and explore art history by studying different artists and their work. Each day we will create one large drawing in pastel chalk. We will create wonderful artwork while being inspired by Edvard Munch’s The Scream, Pablo Picasso's Woman in Hat, Vincent Van Gogh’s Chair, Wassily Kandinsky’s Bavarian Market Square and Claude Monet’s Regatta at Argenteuil. The daily results will be truly frame-able! No experience necessary. Please wear an old shirt or smock to class each day.
Premier Summer Flag Football

In this camp, students will learn about the basics of the fast moving game of flag football. The skills of running, jumping, starting, stopping and change of direction will all be incorporated into each class. This is a great fit for students who have played flag football before, are intrigued to learn a new game or want a fresh and fun way to improve their athletic skills. There is no better way to spend an afternoon outside, with friends and getting some exercise.
