AEF Welcomes Two New Board Members
Alameda Education Foundation announces the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors, Jennifer Cianciulli and Renate Westbrooks.
Ms. Cianciulli is Principal, KDC Accounting & Consulting, LLP and also serves as the Treasurer for the Alameda Chamber of Commerce. She brings experience and expertise in accounting, administration/management, nonprofit management/governance, and organizational development.
Ms. Westbrooks is Equity Coordinator and Student Family Advisor for the Alameda Unified School District. She brings leadership in education, including administration/management, event planning, communications and public relations, and strategic planning along with a strong understanding of the Alameda community.
“AEF is so fortunate to welcome Jennifer and Renate to our board,” explained AEF Board President Kelly Scott. “They both bring a passion for education and equity to our board and have the experience and know-how to help AEF move forward in work supporting Alameda public schools.”
Ms. Cianciulli added that “I value the programs AEF provides to Alameda youth. I look forward to being an active participant to support and help drive the organization forward.” Ms. Westbrooks stated “I have a passion for the families of our community. It is my life’s work to connect services with families to help educate the entire child, build community and relationships. I look forward to bringing a lived experience and a voice of personal experience to better support the work of AEF.”
