Meet Our Newest Board Member Stacy Proctor
AEF is delighted to welcome Stacy Proctor as the latest addition to our Board!
Previously, Stacy spent eleven years at the ARC of San Francisco, serving on the Business Advisory Council for five years, then as Chair for the last three years, and finally as a member of the Board of Directors, where she served a six-year term. She is also an HR professional with over 25 years of experience working across five industries, exclusively for companies that either help people or the planet.
In all of her roles, she has led the effort to build a pipeline of talent, especially in STEM, by creating and/or engaging in programs to help learners from Kindergarten through Master’s Degrees. She has led programs such as ‘bring your children to work’ events, backpack school supply drives, in-classroom presentations, resume writing and interviewing workshops, manufacturing plant tours, internships, and more.
Stacy also volunteers regularly as a Teacher’s Assistant for the Scientific Adventure for Girls (SAfG) non-profit organization and was recently elected to the Encinal High School Boosters organization.
Stacy writes: “I believe that education is the foundation of an individual’s success. Therefore, I am driven to provide opportunities for children (and all people) to continually learn, engage in new experiences, and develop interpersonal skills that ultimately enable their achievements.”
Stacy has a son who is a year-round baseball player, and also plays some basketball, so she is connected with families across the entire Alameda school district. She says: “I am grateful and proud that my Alameda community includes people from all the schools, especially the ones my son attended; Henry Haight (now Love) Elementary, Academy of Alameda middle school, and now Encinal High School.”
Finally, Stacy is committed to AEF’s mission of serving as a critical bridge toward equitable and inclusive educational outcomes for Alameda public school students. She states: “I firmly believe that a foundation of respect is critical to any organization’s success. Organizations cannot survive long without diversity of thought, equity of opportunities, and ensuring an environment where people can feel included; that they belong. I have always incorporated these truisms into everything I do and will support and foster AEF’s ability to continue to do so.
AEF fulfills important community needs and I am honored to serve the community and organization.”

We are lucky to have her with us!
