AEF Affirms That Everyone Belongs Here
AEF believes that Everyone Belongs Here and we remain committed to serving and supporting our diverse community of public school students. We will continue to serve as a critical bridge toward equitable and inclusive educational outcomes for Alameda TK – 12 public school students. We remain and will remain committed to:
- Showcasing artists and art that represent the beautiful mosaic of our culturally diverse Bay Area through our Art Changes and Art Across the Island programs
- Encouraging student-athletes to participate in AEF sports programs that match their gender identity
- Hiring instructors who represent the diversity of our student population for our sports, after school, and summer programs
- Increasing enrichment opportunities for students at lower-income schools through generous scholarships
- Providing scholarships and mini grants so all students have access to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education via Power Up For Learning, our collaboration with Alameda Municipal Power
- Leveling the playing field by providing mini grants to educators at lower-income schools and of special programs
- Providing essential school supplies to give a hand up to students in need
- Supporting mental health care for AUSD students, staff, and their families
Everyone deserves the opportunity to receive a quality education. AEF will do all that we can to ensure that our students are included, represented, safe, and free to learn and thrive.
