Mix and mingle with folks who support Alameda public school students and teachers! Enjoy a BBQ dinner and drinks at one of Alameda’s favorite watering holes - The Rake at Admiral Maltings. Your ticket will include a plate of BBQ or vegan options plus a drink. The Rake offers a selection of premier beers made from their own roasted malt, as well as a selection of wines and refreshing non-alcoholic drinks. We’ll be hosting a silent auction featuring unique Alameda oriented items including golf at the Olympic Club, Pizza with (AUSD Superintendent) Pasquale (Scuderi), and more. Plus a raffle to win $500 in Southwest Airlines tickets! Bay Area favorite, Ukulenny, will add a special 'Island style' sound to your evening.

Please note - Dinner will be served sit-down style at 6:00 PM. Please arrive by 5:45 to be sure you are checked in by 6:00.

Want to really celebrate? Then enter our event raffle for a chance to win a $500 Southwest Airlines gift card. Raffle tickets are just $10 each. One hundred percent of each raffle ticket sale will support AEF’s Teacher Mini Grant program. The drawing will take place during the Back 2 School BBQ on Sep. 19, 2024. You need not be present to win.

Golf at the Olympic Club
One round of 18-holes for three guests total to make the foursome to play golf at the San Francisco Olympic Club. Includes all food and beverages, golf cart (one per each twosome), and complimentary access to driving range and putting green. Purchases in the Olympic Club Golf Pro Shop not included; credit cards are accepted. Play must be held on course (Lake or Ocean) available at time of redemption. Come tour California's only Malting Facility. Learn about the journey barley, wheat, rye, and oats take on their way from the field to your glass. This tour of the facility is for up to 6 people and includes a local craft beer made with Admiral Malt in their beer garden at The Rake @ Admiral Maltings located right in Alameda!

Backyard Soirée
Enjoy a delicious private dinner for 10 guests in the central Alameda home of AEF board president Kelly Scott and her husband Doug Scott! Chef Wyborny's menu will include light hors d'oeuvres, soup/salad, a gourmet main entree, and a hand-crafted dessert. Relax after dinner while keeping warm around the fire and playing ping pong, cornhole, and other fun backyard games. This is sure to be a memorable evening and a great way to celebrate a special occasion without lifting a finger to cook or clean!
Dinner to be held between October 1st and November 23rd, 2024, 6:00-10:00 pm. AEF board president Kelly Scott will contact the winner to schedule dinner. Chef Wyborny can make seasonal menu suggestions while taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences. In the event of rain, dinner will be served indoors. Wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided as guests arrive and during dinner. Guests are welcome to bring own beverages for after dinner.

Pizza with Pasquale
Enjoy a lunch date with your favorite Superintendent of Schools - Pasquale Scuderi! Join AUSD Superintendent Scuderi at the district office located at 2060 Challenger Drive in Alameda for a delicious Tomatina lunch and a lively conversation about the school district and education. Superintendent Scuderi can welcome up to 4 guests total. Minors are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Lunch will be one hour in length.
