The Alameda Asteroids, a middle school cross country club, hosted their final meet for the season on October 26 at Crab Cove. Eleven teams with 190 sixth, seventh and eighth grade boys and girls participated in four events. Girls and Boys 1.1 and 2.1 races.

The Alameda Education Foundation’s middle school cross country club, the Alameda Asteroids, completed their season in November with a strong showing at the regional championships on November 3, 2016. 
The championship meet was held at Canyon Middle School where a new spectator friendly course was created. The sixth grade boys as a collective came in 2nd place. Six medals were presented to our students at the awards ceremony. We received 3 first place medals,

The Alameda Asteroids Middle School Cross Country Club hosted a meet with 11 Bay Area schools from the SACMAL league on Wednesday, September 28th at Crab Cove. The Alameda Asteroids is a middle school cross country club managed under AEF’s after-school enrichment program. Sixth – 8th graders from Alameda middle schools participate in the running club from September through November each fall and compete as a team against schools from outside Alameda.
