2026 Girls Basketball D1 champs Lincoln Lions

Congratulations 2026 Champs Lincoln Lions!

AEF’s girls basketball season came to a thrilling conclusion on January 15, 2026 with two exciting championship games! The Lincoln Lions managed to maintain their undefeated season and secure a win for both the DI and DII teams. And the playoffs were equally as exciting leading up to the final game. In the DII playoffs, #3 ranked ACLC/Nea took the win over #2 ranked Wood to guarantee their spot in the championship game. The DI playoffs saw #2 ranked Academy of Alameda take on #3 ranked Wood in a close game with fierce competition on both sides where the Academy of Alameda ultimately came out on top and secured their place in the final match-up against the undefeated Lincoln Lions.

Fall Sports Wrap Up

The Asteroids Cross Country team just finished their final meet of the season and we’re so proud of all our runners. We had a very competitive team this year with many of our runners placing in the top ten finishers at every meet this season. What’s New for Cross Country This Fall

Starting this year, AEF’s Asteroids Cross Country program will be a part of the Middle School sports program. The program – previously run under AEF Enrichment – is open to students enrolled in Alameda Unified and Charter public middle schools grades 6th-8th. The Alameda Asteroids is unlike AEF’s other middle school sports because it provides a unique opportunity for student-athletes to compete together on one team representing Alameda against other middle schools in the league.
