Derrick Bell’s Dent de Lion series (French for dandelion) lets viewers celebrate our differences by turning faces into beautiful flowers. As an art teacher, Derrick Bell, is a natural as he paints a portrait similar to his work: African Daisies: Kings Wear Hoodies. In the art project video students will learn how to draw a portrait filled with daisies and African violets (both are featured in the artist video) as well as roses and tulips. Colored pencils work best, but crayons or markers can be used as well.
