You have made an important difference in the lives of Alameda students and teachers through your support of AEF!

Your generosity in 2024 made it possible for AEF to:

  • Underwrite much needed mental health care help for students and staff and their families.
  • Fulfill a record $30,000 in Teacher Mini Grants this fall alone - focusing on low-income schools, so teachers can provide instructional items or experiences unique to their classrooms.
  • Provide our full Middle School Sports program (volleyball, basketball and track & field), fostering essential life skills like sportsmanship and teamwork, with academic and behavioral tie-ins to help students prepare for high school.
  • Distribute over 900 fully stocked backpacks to lower income students to ensure they start the school year with the supplies they need for success.
  • Expand our Visual Arts programs to feature more diverse local artists and classroom art lesson plans, host student art events and poetry slams, and exhibit hundreds of pieces of student art around Alameda.
  • Provide Enrichment after-school classes and summer camps to thousands of students to support their academic, emotional, and social growth. We had a record 1,150 registrations in our 2024 summer camps, so your support enables AEF to expand to meet this growing need.

Your donations enable AEF to help bridge the equity gap while enriching the educational experiences of Alameda public school students. Our students are getting the academic, social-emotional tools, and opportunities they need to succeed and our teachers feel supported - thanks to you!
