Welcome to the Alameda Education Foundation’s After School Enrichment program! Our program offers hundreds of after school classes for students in grades TK – 8 in athletics, art/crafts, performing arts, math, science, technology, languages, writing and much more.
AEF classes are NOT one size fits all, rather you can select classes and activities that align with your student’s interests and passions. AEF classes are held at every AUSD elementary school and Nea. Middle school programs are at central locations.

Does your child have adaptive needs?
Students with adaptive needs are welcome to join AEF programs. Please contact our Enrichment Director (enrichment@alamedaeducation.org) to discuss available classes and options. School Site Ambassador Program
AEF's After School Enrichment program can only exist if there is a parent volunteer to help coordinate the program at each school site.
Site Ambassadors are responsible for helping to plan classes for your school, working with the principal to make sure each class has a location on campus, sending some emails to the parents reminding them of upcoming classes, and working with onsite aftercare for coordinating students taking the classes.
It is also recommended that Ambassadors meet the after school instructors at least once, especially on their first day of classes, to help get them acquainted and make sure everything runs smoothly.
You will receive a stipend from the Alameda Education Foundation as a 'thank you' for your help in managing the program.
Being an Ambassador is not difficult and you will receive training and support from AEF staff. It is a perfect volunteer opportunity for a working parent who would like to be more involved in their child's school.
If you are interested or would like to find out more information please email rachel@alamedaeducation.org.
