Ready for a New School Year with School Supplies

On August 11 2026, Alameda Education Foundation (AEF) arrived at Alameda Point Collaborative to distribute new backpacks and school supplies to students. And students were pretty excited to see us!

Every year, AEF’s school supply drive ensures that all AUSD students are equipped for success on day one of school. We provide approximately 1,000 backpacks and schools supply kits to students at AUSD schools receiving Title I funding, such as Love Elementary, Paden Elementary, Ruby Bridges Elementary, Encinal Jr. and Sr. High School, and Island High School. We also serve the AUSD Office of Equity, reaching students who experience housing instability, including families at the Alameda Point Collaborative.

We could not do this without the support of our generous donors and grantors, including AT&T, South Shore Center (Summer Beats), Alameda Community Fund and Southwest Airlines.
