Student Art Exhibit Opens April 19, 2025

Alameda Education Foundation presents another season of student work at our Art Changes exhibit at Rhythmix Cultural Works’ K Gallery. The theme for this school year, Our Earth: Embracing All Communities, is based on the collage paintings of Salma Arastu as well as the poetry of Maw Shien Win and the photography of Will Chang. Salma Arastu’s paintings celebrate nature and the interdependence of all living creatures. Belonging and self-knowledge are important aspects of Maw Shein Win’s poetry. Will Chang has turned his eye to our community, Alameda. Using long exposure, he has created night time images that shine with light.

Student Artwork has been contributed from Bay Farm Elementary and Middle School, Earhart, Edison, Franklin, Love, Maya Lin, Otis, Paden, and Ruby Bridges Elementary Schools, Lincoln Middle School, Wood Middle School, Alameda High School and Encinal Junior & Senior High School.
