In my position as a McKinney-Vento Liaison I am often times a family's last resort when they are looking for resources or supplies. With the support of AEF and the mini grant program, I was able to provide numerous families with personal hygiene supplies when their needs were immediate. It has been a little ray of light to be able to say, 'yes I can help with that right away'!
Thank you for your Teacher Mini Grant! AEF has made classroom activities happen that would not otherwise occur for our wonderfully diverse Title 1 identified school. Through your generosity, learning is not just more attainable but more fun. This is great news! Our students will be so pleased to hear it! Our students that cannot afford to rent or buy their own instrument will now be able to play on a school loaner for our first-ever WMS Orchestra.
Thank you! The purchase of 2 color inkjet printers enables students to use Word Art and Print Shop to create unique artifacts as part of our "Do It Yourself" Life Skills curriculum. The students actually learn a skill that can turn into an at-home business!

Thank you for enabling me to create a mobile therapy unit to support my work as a District Counselor, serving youth and families across the district, including those who have been chronically truant with re-engagement counseling, and filling mental health gaps by providing individual and group therapy where it is needed.
I sincerely appreciate AEF’s mini grant that helped to sponsor students from the Encinal Jr. Sr. High School (EJSHS) CTE Radio pathway to attend the College Broadcasters, Inc., conference in October. This year the conference was held in Orlando, Florida, so the students and I had to raise money for airfare, lodging, and registration. Four EJSHS students from my advanced broadcasting class went on the trip and they gained so much from the experience. Christopher Setera is one of the students who attended the conference, and he wrote a thank you note on behalf of his fellow students.
