Welcome New Board Members!

AEF is thrilled to welcome four new Board members to start off the 2026-27 school year! Joining us will be Alameda High School Spanish Teacher and World Languages Department Chair – Eric Lowy; founder of Mayannand, LLC (an after school STEM class provider) –  Susan Tom; the owner of Island Savoy Market in Alameda – Michael Stevens and Associated Press Reporter and Video Journalist – Terry Chea.

The AEF Board is a ‘hands-on’ Board! You’ll probably see our Board members at community events, AEF fundraisers, AUSD School Board meetings, and other local gatherings. Most have children in AUSD schools and are active and engaged in our schools and community. We hope you have a chance to meet them soon!
