Student Art Exhibit Opens April 19, 2025
A new AEF student artwork exhibit, featuring the artwork of Salma Arastu , photographs by Will Chang, and poetry by poet laureate Maw Shien Win will open on April 19, 2025. The student artwork will be inspired by Salma’s Interdependence panels, and student poetry based on Maw’s nature poem. The exhibit is called Our Earth: Embracing All Communities. The exhibit will run through May 25, 2025.

AEF will be at ARPD Spring Shindig
The City of Alameda ARPD’s Spring Shindig features community organizations that support individuals of all ages and vendors who provide unique homemade gifts and advocate for local and global initiatives, making this event welcoming for all. This year, the theme is Superheroes and celebrating Earth Day.
AEF will have a table at this event with raffle tickets, prizes, and information on our Summer Camps and other programs.
The event runs from 12 noon to 3 pm at the Alameda Point Gym and Field,
Season for Non Violence Student Speech Contest

Annual Season for Nonviolence Student Speech Contest
The Season for Nonviolence is a 64-day period that takes place from January 30 to April 4 and honors the lives of Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. and other peace activists.

Alameda Bike Festival 2025
Every year, the City of Alameda (along with event partners including Alameda Unified School District) hosts a Bike Festival, and this year it will be held at Paden Elementary School (444 Central Ave, Alameda, CA 94501) on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.
AEF will have a table at this event with prizes, give-aways, information on our Summer Camps, and more. Bring your friends and family to this free annual citywide bike festival for people of all ages!
