AEF Updates
Introducing AEF Online Summer Camps! Due to concerns about the coronavirus, AEF will be holding virtual camps this summer. Our one-week camps begin June 15. A full program schedule will be ready for viewing and registration by May 27 on our Summer Camps website page.
The AEF office is closed. Staff is working remotely. If you wish to reach us, please email Info@AlamedaEducation.org.
AEF Arts Kits are being distributed to students by AUSD staff during meal pickups. If you would like to support this effort, please visit our website.
AEF’s annual Salute to Education event that was scheduled for May 1, 2020 is postponed. More information will be coming early this summer.
Public education is expected to see major budget cutbacks in the coming year. Please consider a charitable contribution to AEF to help us continue to provide vital educational opportunities for students. Please click on the yellow “donate” button to make a contribution.
The 2020 CARES Act passed by the government on March 27th expands charitable contributions:
- You can deduct $300 for monies given to charity even if you don’t itemize your deductions.
- You are able to deduct your charitable contributions up to 100% of your income, which is above the previous limit of 60% of your AGI (adjusted gross income).
- Corporations can deduct up to 25% of taxable income vs. 10% previously allowed.
