Thank You Alameda Rotary Club

Many thanks to the Rotary Club of Alameda for their generous donation to AEF’s Teacher Mini Grant program!

With a specific focus on need, AEF Mini Grants provide an opportunity for AUSD teachers to apply for items that will benefit their students but that are not covered in the school budget. Many of these grants focus on teachers at Title I schools and special programs, such as Special Education and English Language Learning.

San Jose Mercury News-hidden price article

This is Why AEF Does What it Does

This article in the San Jose Mercury News underscores the need for AEF to continue to do the work that we do.There is simply not enough State funding to meet the needs of our public schools. AEF strives to fill the gaps by raising funds to support needs at lower-income schools, and by running programs that would otherwise not exist, like middle school sports, teacher mini grants and after school enrichment. Also, shout out to our own AEF’s Administrative Assistant as well as Love PTA President Vanessa Acevedo-Reed for her thoughtful contributions to this article!
