TV used by Ruby Bridges PE program

Support for Physical Education Program

TV used by Ruby Bridges PE programMarie Ratto, the Physical Education Teacher at Ruby Bridges Elementary reached out to AEF for help in purchasing a new 27″-32″ TV for her Physical Education Program to replace a very old TV. The TV will be used to support students in fitness and other areas in the Ruby Bridges Physical Education curriculum. It’s particularly helpful on rainy days when some of classes have to move to the ARPD Bayport Community building for indoor P.E.

Ruby Bridges library supplies

Supplies for Ruby Bridges Library

The librarian at Ruby Bridges Elementary requested books for the library (specifically books that would reflect the diversity at their school site including Mongolian, Filipino, LatinX, African American, AAPI), art materials (caddies, markers, coloring pencils, crayons, pencil sharpener), book storage bins, and book maintenance materials.

Thank you so much for the grant!!! We are SO very grateful for the materials and books. The art materials are used every week, as are the magnatiles (a huge student favorite).

Manipulatives for Paden kindergartners

Kindergartners Learning Fine Motor Skills

Thank you so much for AEF’s generosity! I just received the last of the items (manipulatives and toys for helping to increase small motor skills) and we have slowly started to use them! I am introducing one new manipulative/ toy a week and the kids are loving them! Once we have practiced with each thing the kids will have access to all of them and they will be able to choose which thing they want to do after work time to help with their small motor skills.
